Walking in the intertidal

Walking in the intertidal

The low tide reveals the secrets of the intertidal zone, being the ideal opportunity to explore Praia do Martinhal and get to know its marine life. The organisms that live in the tide pools between the rocks, use them as a refuge, and are adapted to the dryness, salinity and force of the waves. You can find starfish, anemones, crabs, bivalves, fish, algae, and even colourful nudibranchs. Come and discover this diversity!

This activity is facilitated by Ricardo Correia.
